A fixture is only as good as the connections behind it. The same faucet can last fifteen years in one house and fail in two in another, and the difference is almost always the valves, supply lines, and drain connections underneath. We install and repair fixtures throughout the house, and we finish jobs other people started, where the fixture was fine but the seized shutoff or mis-sloped drain underneath was the real problem. Mid range fixtures from established brands with serviceable parts usually cost less over their life than the cheapest option.
