### Why is my disposal humming but not grinding?
Usually something is jammed in the impellers. Cut power before doing anything else. If clearing the jam does not fix it, the motor may be done, and disposals are generally replaced rather than rebuilt.

### What should never go down a kitchen drain?
Grease and oil above all. They pour in liquid and harden on the pipe wall. Most kitchen line blockages we clear are fundamentally grease.
